Game Day Group Experience Coordinator
Coordinate memorable group experiences on game day, assisting diverse audiences. Enjoy hourly pay, flexible shifts, and an energetic, team-focused work environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
The Game Day Group Experience Coordinator role is centred on enhancing group attendance and engagement during sporting events. As a coordinator, you’ll greet and guide group guests, from schools to companies and community teams, making sure their experience goes smoothly from start to finish.
Your main duties include organizing group activities like Blue Line Buddies, Bench Warmers, mini-matches, and autograph sessions. You’ll ensure all scheduled group activities run on time and meet quality standards, which requires flexible problem-solving and quick, effective communication.
Working closely with the operations team is part of the job, especially when handling last-minute changes or supporting special group experiences behind the scenes. You’ll provide on-site support for all group events, helping to address any challenges as they pop up.
Shifts align with sporting events, so you’ll need to be available for evenings and weekends. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced space are essentials for this job.
Lastly, being a true team player and bringing enthusiasm to each event will make both the guests and your team’s experience successful.
Pros
One advantage of this position is the flexible, part-time hourly schedule (at $20.00 CAD per hour), ideal for those balancing studies, other jobs, or personal commitments.
Additionally, the energetic, team-based atmosphere means you’ll be joining colleagues who share a passion for high-quality sports events and memorable guest interactions. Benefits and participation in league-wide programs add value to your time spent on the team.
Cons
Working event-based hours means your schedule heavily depends on game days, leading to evenings and weekend commitments that won’t suit everyone.
Also, if you prefer working solo or dislike unpredictable changes, the role may prove challenging since quick adaptation and teamwork are central requirements.
Verdict
For applicants who are detail-oriented and thrive in vibrant, collaborative atmospheres, this job provides a great entry into the sports industry with valuable perks. If you’re seeking flexibility, interaction, and a truly behind-the-scenes experience on game day, consider applying for this engaging opportunity.
